Harvey Gulf International Marine has picked Dixon Valve/Mann Tek liquefied natural gas couplings for fueling its new LNG-diesel dual fuel offshore supply vessels, with cryogenic hoses by Guteling of The Netherlands.

The equipment is being supplied by Bluewater Rubber & Gasket, a Port Fourchon, La.-based distributor. It includes both dry-break fuel connection and break-away safety couplings manufactured by Sweden’s Mann Tek.

The ships with their Wärtsilä DF engines and Wärtsilä LNGPac fuel will be bunkered at a new facility to be managed by Wärtsilä at Port Fourchon. Wärtsilä is handling the vessels’ maintenance too.

Mann Tek for the Viking Line Too
Two of at least six 302-foot sister ships, the Harvey Energy and Harvey Power, have been launched and are being readied for service with Shell (HHP Insight, August 14).

Mann Tek fueling couplings are also used for bunkering theViking Line’s  Viking Grace in Sweden.
